Sonatel - Senegal's National Telecommunications Company
- To make an inventory and set up assets management procedures
PRIVATIZATION
- To collect all relevant information for the brochure to be given to potential investors;
- To draw up the following documents to be submitted for approval by the Steering Committee (inter-ministerial supervising body) and to serve as a basis for privatization:
- Draft concession agreement and terms of reference defining the new legal and contractual framework for the operation of the telecommunications service to contracted out;
- Terms of reference for the sale of government-owned shares to a strategic operator;
- Draft by-laws for the privatized SONATEL.
- Organization of a Data Room putting together the main investors, and designed to make available to them all the information necessary for their offer.
- Advisor to the Government of Senegal on privatization strategy and procedures.
TAX ASSISTANCE (1990 to 1995)
- To define a timeline for SONATEL's main obligations;
- To follow up how the company is meeting its tax obligations;
- Advice on how to take advantage of tax breaks provided for by current texts;
